I just wanna to say on this issue that every person he is australian or from others country . Don't be blame that it is racist attack by Australia, may be it is done by some other country people who is in Australia. I don't like without proof blamed on Australian people. In every country good & bad people , but if you are good and work safe in safe hours nobody hurts you.

I can understand due to this happening , many indians go back their country and i just want to request to every employers give equal rights to every people either australian, indian , chinese etc.

This is not wrong that Indians are work harder. They are more stronger to face any problems.

I proud to be Indian and love to be part of Australia . I just want to give opinion to employers think when you arrive australia to get settled yourself and take every student like that and pay their hard work and trust them.

The Government needs to explore the more cost-effective, environmentally friendly althernatives, it's just plain dumb not to do that in the first place.
Shut down the Desalination Plant.

1-4-10
As a retired Irrigation Farmer from Pyramid Hill I favor the desalination of sea water for the following reasons--
1. The salt can be piped well out to sea,
2.Electricity can be generated by wind power and solar energy.
3.Water caan be piped inland all over Australia.
4. There are many rich river deltas around the coast.
5. We are a huge land mass bigger than the whole of Western Europe.

How could Qantas buy such an unproven ugly aircraft like the A380? It is like travelling in an oversized sheep truck. Did Qantas not see the Boeing 777, one of the most attractive and best performing proven aircraft in the world?

President Zardari seems committed and will not resign from his office, rightly so. There are no criminal proceedings against him and he has not been convicted for any offence. And now that he is also the President he has the constitutional protection of Article 248 (2). The demand for mid-term election is unjustified. Article 22 of the Charter of Democracy clearly calls for respecting the electoral mandate of representative governments that accepts the due role of the opposition and declare that neither shall undermine each other. This demand is against the spirit of the CoD. The PPP has faced challenges in the past and is ready to face any challenge in the future as well.

Minister on the lamb
By David Bell
John Castrilli has palmed responsibility for animal welfare onto the very industry profiting from alleged abuses.
The local government minister says it’s unreasonable to have state animal welfare officers at every loading and unloading.
Following complaints his department launched an investigation into allegations of animal mistreatment during a loading at Freo last week.
Complainants told of overpacked pens and limbs and heads sticking through bars over three days. Tens of thousands of sheep were loaded and no animal welfare inspector turned up to check it out.
“Inspectors cannot physically be present at every instance of live sheep exporting” Mr Castrilli said. “First and foremost it is the responsibility of the individuals and companies associated with the live export industry to act responsibly and in accordance with the Act and their licence conditions.”
His Labour shadow Paul Papalia describes that as a “cop out”. “There is (still) always going to be a need for government to provide oversight,” he said.
“There’s a great deal of concern within the local community...I don’t think a response of ‘it’s not our job’ is particularly sensitive.”
South Metro Greens MLC Lynn MacLaren said the export industry had proven time and again that it was incapable of policing itself.
“The industry does claim that it can self-monitor but we’ve seen that it’s not protecting the animals.
“The trade itself does keeps demonstrating that it is inadequately monitored and that the animals are suffering as a result of these practices.”
WA Livestock Transporters and Country Bulk Carriers Association president Grant Robbins says he’s satisfied.
“There are always AQIS (Australian Quarantine Inspection Service) inspectors there as part of the loading.”
Former Melville councillor Trish Phelan was at the loading last week and she said AQIS inspectors only showed up for an hour on the third day. It was their job to look for disease and blindness, not report on animal cruelty.
Freo’s council chief ranger Cameron Bartkowski said livestock was “not within our jurisdiction’. Even is abuses were sighted on trucks heading through Fremantle, it would be an RSPCA matter”.
